3.5 million people fooled

How do you fool 3.5 million people into promoting your book? Tell them it's an experiment. At least that's what Steve Jackson did. The group is called 6 degrees of separation. Steve writes that he "wants to see if it is possible to contact everyone on facebook." Sounds harmless right? This isn't so much as an experiment in sociology as it is an experiment in advertising. The only person allowed to post items to the group is Steve himself and he's posted 2 links: one to an interview with him and the other to his official website, promoting his book "the judas."

OiNK.cd Servers Raided, Admin Arrested

I never thought this day would come. This is such sad news. I feel like I need a day off to reflect. This was the best online community by far I've ever been involved in. A sad day indeed.

The world is a giant wiki

The world is a giant wiki, where people fix and help out where they see fit. The technological singularity will allow for easier space travel. Assuming ultra-intelligent computers can invent some amazing renewable energy and automation of everything and in great abundance that people are free to live freely and do whatever they want. An automated utopia. Ultra-connectedness. The cell phone is a very important start to it. When the percentage of people who own a cell phone reaches a certain point, it's like all our minds are connected. You can reach anyone anywhere anytime. That is serious connectedness.

Droids. Follow you around. Do they follow you around or are they just everywhere. Well, when colonizing new planets and exploring they could follow you around.

Droids that can create everything. Like the matrix, you can just kind of summon things and automatically know how to use it ( 3d printer and wikipedia)

college is closer to the singularity than regular life, it's why people like it. I feel like living on a spaceship would be like college... except on a spaceship. People just learning, living forever because the robots we created solved all our problems. People just pursue their dreams.

What a life

Now when you pick a pawpaw
Or a prickly pear
And you prick a raw paw
Next time beware
Don't pick the prickly pear by the paw
When you pick a pear
Try to use the claw
But you don't need to use the claw
When you pick a pear of the big pawpaw
Have I given you a clue ?

Youtube genres

After being linked to this on a forum, I stumbled upon a small youtube genre: heady pipe smoking videos. And it's not just pipes. Basically videos of people taking huge hits. Sometimes someone explaining why what they are smoking out of is signifigant.

an example of this:

even asian guys talking about their camera and smoking are posting videos

Of course, sketchy teenagers in their basement with their homemade hooka

I can't imagine watching these for entertainment. Although technically I guess I just was...

feeling shoppy

So I shopped this up.

Meh.

Funding both sides

We're giving israel 30 billion dollars for their military. We're giving palestine 80 million dollars for their military. WTF. It's not like it's water, doctors, food etc. It's military aid. Wtf.

I made a blog

I get ideas all the time. Sweet, this font is really big. Ok so making a blog was really easy. This blog is for my random thoughts. Sometimes I get a lot of thoughts and I tell my friends and they get annoyed at how many of my thoughts I am telling them. So I decided to make this blog so I can still share my thoughts. Some profound, some really dumb. It's all to come.
